not many companies would spend that much to fix a problem on an already failing system in terms of profit or have that much extra money to spend on it. and lets not confuse, $1 billion=rrod fix, and $1 billion=warranty extensions.

im one of the few that actually likes vista. as long as you have a large amount of ram, imo its a good OS. ive been considering giving linux a whirl on a partitioned drive but i dont want to deal with problems. i didnt know you could run it from your cd/dvd drive as stated in the article. maybe i will try it out... sometime

its one thing to point out flaws in a game but they are straight bashing it. its a great game imo. sure it has a couple bugs, all games do, thats whats niice about this generation though, mandatory firmware updates. regardless this game is a 9.5 or higher in my books. cod4 had WAYYY more bugs and online problems when it first came out (actually it still has some bugs), and gta is a wayyyy bigger game. compared to other games the bugs are easily forgotten.

the ps3 version definitely looks better in this comparison but these comps seem to just be coming down to television color changes and saturation. regardless the demo was horrible even if i did play it on the ps3.
i get ya. the achievements are pretty crazy. i was just messing around before i went to sleep last night and didnt save it but just kept trying to get my wanted level as high as i could. i was at 4 stars forever, then about 4.7 seconds after i got the fifth star i got blasted. i saw that video about the 6 stars for (i think 6 minutes) but it isnt too easy. let alone some of the other crazy other ones. oh well thats what makes it fun. trying to complete the challenges. thats the one major ...

actually he is right. many older HD televisions would not support certain resolutions. in fact some older HD television would not support even 480i/p. you maybe familiar with the tech of today but when HD TV's first came out they were very different and you had to make sure the tv supported the resolution you wanted. now with modern processors it easy for the tv to scale the image to many different resolutions.

i have the ps3 version and love the game but i would also consider buying it for my computer as it does look MUCH better on pc and the controls are a little easier with kb/mouse
why would sony really care how well the actual game sells on the console? all sony cares about is how many people bought a ps3 for the game. take two is raking in the dough, not MS. and this only helps sony's install base, its a win win for everybody, including gamers because fans of both consoles get to play this game and its freakin awesome, i rate it 10/10 on both consoles, quitcherbiitchen!!
some people dont have a chance to read every single article on N4G so repeat or not im glad it was posted. i tried it out on my Philips 47" and i can see a noticeable difference. everything just looks a little sharper than it did before.
